Quick Update!

Yesterday my package from Jesse arrived in the mail! He is the sweetest and funniest person and tumblr and he's one of the first people I ever followed. A complete sweetheart!

The jewelpets stationery I just couldn't handle it!! So cute!

Nintendo 3DS Review

I say "review" but it's more of a first impression since I've only had the system for about 24hours now. I had heard of the 3DS many months ago but wanted to wait out for a pink model. The last time I purchased a handheld system was the DS lite. About a week later the pink model came out and I was heart broken.

So when I saw some posts pop up for a pink 3DS coming out in time for valentines day I got really giddy!

But the only reason I really wanted to get it was for this bad boy:

I'm a HUGE animal crossing fan. I had the very first game on the gamecube (which has since gone missing), wild world on DS, and city folk for the Wii! The release date has yet to be announced but you can bet your panties I'll be getting it as soon as it's on sale!

Last night I got my system along with Pokemon Black since my sister already has the white version and wanted me to play with her. Whenever a new set of pokemon games are announced we always make plans to get the different games.

Yes! I've already decorated it with stickers. Can you blame me!?

I finally have something to do with all the stickers I've been collecting. I'll try and keep it simple.

Trying out animal crossing! If there's anything I am even just a tad disliking it's the way the 3DS "stretches" the game to fit it's slightly bigger screens. It could be my imagination but I'm fairly certain. I imagine actual 3DS games won't do this but it's something I'll get used to.

One of my favorite features of the 3DS is probably the Augmented Reality cards or simple AR cards.

When you enter the AR games option on your menu screen the system will go into tutorial mode and start instructing you on how use them.

One of my favorites is the "Graffiti" game which allows your drawings to come to life. You can make it run around, jump plus a few other features I've yet to play with.

A wild cinnamoroll has appeared!

You can also creat "Miis" which are similar to the ones you can do on the Wii.

There's also a separate game for those little guys which involve connecting with other players.

For now I just have fun making them pose for cute pictures!

Though I don't have a true 3DS game to review I can't say for certain on how well game play is. But for the casual gamer and maybe first time players this is definitely a really cool and neat system Nintendo has put out. You can tell they've definitely put out some effort on this system in comparison to the, in my opinion, DSi and DSi XL. (eyeroll)

Overall I'm really happy with my purchase and look forward to future titles for this system!

February GETS!

February has been a fun and busy month for me! I've been quite busy thrifting, shopping, reading and watching movies! Fun fun fun. I've also received a few parcels so let's get to it!

Some room decorating! I have a ton of skydancers but I don't usually leave them out since my shelves are only big enough for their launchers. I took them out recently but only for a quick clean up. I make sure my ladies are always primped!

My shelves are getting fuller and fuller!

I went shopping and found these scented BubbleYum nail polishes! I'm not a big fan of the colors. They're a little too dark for me but they really do smell like candy! I'm wearing the grape one right now. It's so nice.

I also went and bought a new battery for my tama toy!

I've been having fun playing with it. I never get bored with these things. My tama is already a full grown adult. Ura Togetchi.

I always get the diamond child daiyatchi!

Flea market cuties!

I got lucky last weekend while at the flea market and scooped up streaky and the bridal pony! I came home skipping I was so happy. They're gorgeous right!?

A little sneak peak from my penpal package that I received yesterday from Monica! She sent me some really really cute toys and some of the yummiest german candy! She also sent me some spa day things like chocolate facial mask. I'm really excited to try them!

I've also slipped suddenly back into a harry potter craze! I was a fan of the books as a kid and of course the movies. So when I saw most of the collection for 99c at the thriftstore I had to scoop them up! I'm a big movie fan so I also got "Best movies of the 70s". I plan on watching each movie mentioned in the book as a little project of mine. I also got the first HP movie as well.. so I have my hands full with wizards and magical creatures for the rest of the month!

Now I leave you all to start on the Star Wars movies. I'm taking a deep trip into nostalgia-ville!

My Strapya order and package from Lila came in the mail this morning! I was super pleased with my order and all the things Lila sent me were super SUPER cute!

The sun really blanked out the stuff on the right but its all stationary goodies and stickers. I'm putting them all away in my tiny sticker bin. I never have the heart to use them!

She sent me the lunar teddy necklace I was crying over on the CCK site. Everything I want gets sold out so fast so she sent it to me! Lila is literally the sweetest. I'm never taking this off!

I'm very thankful that she went out of her way to do this for me. Since valentines is coming around I'll be lurking the stores for cute things to send her soon as well as my other penpals.

Thinking about it is really exciting!

My second purchase was some DROP earphones since the last pair of YUM YUMs brand tore from overuse. I got the purple pair! Apparently they are shaped to mimic the candy. They are super small and fit perfect. I'm using them right now

Extreme Makeover: Ceramic cuties edition

I'd like to introduce you to a new hobby of mine, Ceramic Cutie Restoration! Doesn't it sound like something a magical girl would shout out before waving her magic wand and blowing you into oblivion?

So when I browse the thrift stores I always find myself lurking the glass/breakables section in case I find any vintage mugs, plates, and other cute miscellaneous items that I might fancy and I always happen upon the same things. Tacky glazed porcelain and ceramic figures the classic "GREETINGS FROM FLORIDA" and "WORLDS BEST DAD" mugs which I always find myself snorting at. One can only assume the receiver was an ass or maybe dead. (I assume all things in thrift stores were hauled from the houses of dead old people).

ANYWAY

If you're a creepy collector like me with a soft spot for cute ugly little figures you know the feeling the moment you lay your eyes on a tiny paint chipped, slightly deformed and pitiful creature your heart immediately tells you "BUY IT AND TAKE IT HOME AND LOVE IT BECAUSE NO ONE ELSE WILL" Perhaps that's just me though.

Anyway I ended up bringing home a little bear/mouse creature yesterday and decided I was going to give it a wash and maybe fix up its eyes. So after some much needed scrubbing I broke out the paint and started painting. An hour or so later I made this cutie the center of attention

UGUU INDEED look at those big beautiful blue eyes!

I thought I did a pretty neat job and decided to completely makeover a silly little work out bear I had bought several months prior.

Cute am I right?

So now that I'm super jazzed about these I'm getting ready to make another trip to the thrift store soon and locate some new projects. My heart honestly gets heavy when I see ugly little abandoned figures on the shelves. I wish I could bring them all home and give them a new lease on life.

Twinkle Twinkle Little Nail Stars!

Hello friends! Today I bring you a small and simple nail tutorial for a set I posted on tumblr a few weeks ago. This is going to be the first of many I think. Let me know how I did!

Let's get started!

The only difference between the ones shown above and the tutorial below are that I didn't do the dots and instead did a colorful tip. You can do either or both!

STEP ONE: MATERIALS

You will need the following:

two or more different color polishes. I used pink and lilac!
A glitter polish
Top and or Base Coat Polish
Mini star nail art decorations
Tweezers
File and nail Buffer (optional)

STEP 2: FILE AND BUFF NAILS (OPTIONAL)

This step is optional but it's one I personally never leave out. Filing your nails to nice even shapes helps the overall appearance and presentation of everything. I did an oval shape but you can do square squoval or whatever suits your fancy.

STEP 3: BASE COAT

To help the polish adhere to your nails better and protect them from staining use a nice base coat over clean nails. Make sure you use a quality brand. The one I'm using is generic and ended up chipping after a few hours UGH.

STEP 4: POLISH POLISH POHLESH

Ultimately you can use any colors and do any patterns you want. I went for something simple like this. Pink and purple combos are my favorite! Remember. Do one coat at a time and let it dry in between coats. Try not to glob so much at once if you have polish that isn't completely opaque after one application. Take your time! Do this when you know you wont have to do anything for a while that involves you using your hands too much.

STEP 5: GLITTTTTERRRR!!!!

GLITTER GLITTER GLITTERRRR Use two coats or however many you think you need. I ended up using about three coats and a few more after the star application.

STEP 6: STARS!

Using your tweezers (since the stars are super tiny) carefully pick them up one by one and place them where you think they look best on your nails. It's best to do this right after you apply the glitter so you can gently sink them into the still drying polish and help them adhere better.

After this, wait about a full hour before doing anything to let them dry. Nail polish takes about SIX HOURS to completely dry! So keep that in mind and don't blow on them either! All you're doing is adding moisture with your spit and you're not really helping any!

So with that you're ready to hit the towns with your cute twinkling nails. As for me, I'm off to enjoy some BBQ and watch anime in my little hole of a room. I hope you enjoyed!

It's exactly five in the morning as I'm writing this. I guess I've been especially bored recently.

I'm usually content browsing around the internet and reading things but tonight I'm reflective and that's getting me down so I decided to make a post!

A little showcase of my artistic abilities or lack there of TBH

First some doodles!

I'm also really crazy about drawing food. Junk food in particular. Characters being lazy and stuffing their faces (not unlike myself) just appeal to me so much. I think it's really cute! Below is another example of this

These styles are a little more serious but still in the doodle category. Nothing is refined!

I like the sketchy look though. Most of my drawings are like this.

Fantasy pet and cute things!

My signature stuff I think. Drawing cute animals especially made up ones are the best! For me anyway. I can play around with colors and let my imagination go wild. I'm trying to work my way out of the same color choices and characters. But habits are hard to break.

Below are some previews of commissioned work that I've been doing. These will be going up on different websites for a friend of mine. I was very flattered when she asked me to do them for her. I am doing my best so that she doesn't regret her decision..

Thrifting with Nana!

Hello friends! I am back again today with some things to share!

Since I am always gabbing on tumblr about my experiences at the flea market I thought I would share them with you here. This place is a little dirty and full of junk but there are many of my treasures waiting inside!

The morning started off very gloomy. It is cold and we had to wait in a very long line. It seems the owner of the flea market got into an argument of some kind and the man who was loaning him parking spaces was no longer doing this! Or so I heard from the gossiping venders huhuhu. We got lucky and got a good space very close to the entrance though :3

JACKPOT!

I was also going to photograph the stand that usually sells me my care bears. But as I was about to get there a man stopped me in the crowd and told me there was toilet paper stuck to my shoe. I was too embarrassed and left without turning around to see if anyone had seen.

I am eyeing the snacks of course. Hot sauce covered chips! I didn't have any because I decided to cut back on junk food. I suffered all morning.

Now to the loot! I brought home! These are some of the ponies I had drying off after their bath.

The vintage baby pony up front is the first thing I bought. I was so excited! I hardly ever find vintage ponies at the flea market. The rest I got from a grab bag.

And finally my care bears! A 25th anniversary tenderheart bear and a vintage love-a-lot bear! The nose is a little chewed up and her embroidery is a little loose but I had to bring it home anyway. My room is a shelter for homeless bears! I also got a care bears movie with two episodes. I've yet to watch it. So I guess I'll do that now while I find something healthy to snack on >:/

I hope you have been well friends! I return with an update on my room. Dreamy and magical as ever! I've spent this past week terrorizing the toy isles at the thrift stores. I was sick during the holidays and our car had broken down so I couldn't leave the house much.

The dolls above are called "Dreamie Sweets" from '97 I believe. I found them with their box! I was pleased to bring them home.

My desk has gotten more and more cluttered. But what a beautiful clutter indeed! I think maybe I should start selling some stuff...if only to make room for more cute things.

My dad finally finished building me lovely new shelf for all my bigger stuffed babies and other miscellaneous things. I put my vintage care bears on display! and you can see a bit of my gloomy bear collection above.

For now that is all! I promise to make more frequent posts. I've just been lazy. Please forgive me

New Room!

Hello Hello! Finally I'm getting to settle down a little after a crazy weekend. I've spent the past week getting ready for a new paint job on my room and I'm finally moving my things back in.

So here is the inspiration for my color choices. This brush-a-loves bear was gifted to me by a sweet girl on tumblr many months ago out of random! I was really happy and it's probably my favorite stuffed toy, or toy in general. It means so much to me and the colors are my absolute favorite I chose the color of its fur to paint my walls!

This was my room in the midst of being packed away. My poor care bears and ponies had to be bagged and suffocated during the process. How sad!

The unpacking and organizing begins! So happy to be free I bet.

I got rid of a huge bulky desktop computer I no longer used and I now have room to work there again. It's pretty messy right now but in a few days I'll probably start putting more things away.

and last but not least, my pony shelf above my bed! It's a pain having to put each and every pony back in it's place but it had to be done or they'd be everywhere. The sailor mars and My Little Pony FiM toys are things I got at the flea market yesterday that I'm going to gift out to some of my followers on tumblr! So there's a giveaway and some other things to look forward to.

Hello there!

Ah gosh, I have no idea how to start off these sorts of things. I decided I wanted a more official blog besides my tumblr to document my toy collection, makeup, and art. I suppose I'll be doing a few tutorials as well. So here's hoping I stick to updating this thing haha
